Happy New !!! **throwing confetti and blowing a party horn** Welcome to my first post of 2017. True to form, I’m starting the year with a post about goals. But not just any goals. Writing goals.
Finding time to write is a juggling act sometimes. Add in the holidays and any family obligations and the time I set aside evaporates into thin air.
My major writing goal for 2017 is
to set a daily habit and stick to it. I have so many things I want to accomplish this year so there’s no time to dilly-dally.
Considering Vivien Reis’ 4 tips to building a daily writing habit, it is imperative that I dedicate uninterrupted time to write or work on related tasks. This includes research for a character or storyline, catching up on industry news, or honing my craft.
Below is my schedule. I’ll monitor my progress over the month to see if any tweaks necessary.
Tuesday -Friday for 1 hour (9-10pm)
Saturdays for 2-3 hours (10am- noon or 1pm)
